Dedicated … 2 hosting

Well let me start off by saying I have only been with HostingFroggy for approximately a 1 month and don’t plan on staying there any longer. They are currently down while I type this.

The first couple weeks were alright, however support is almost always slow on the weekends.

Now it seems like atleast twice a week theres a problem. This is the second or third downtime this week. I have had atleast five in since March 10th or so (Servage was better than that!).

I really don’t know what else to say I havnt been with them very long. Luckily I only signed up for three months.

If there is anything else with HostingFroggy you would like to know feel free to post it in comments. For the rest of April im going to be parking the domains at Servage. I’m either going to go with HostRefugee or DownTownHost. Both have very good reviews.

I have several sites hosted with Easily.co.uk and until recently found them excellent.

Now unfortunately since they were taken over they seem to be developing a couldn’t care less attitude. One of my sites has been playing up for about 4 months but despite repeated e-mails to them nothing has been done about it.

All they tell me is that it is working properly, despite the fact that it isn’t and despite the fact that traffic to it has virtually disappeared! The last e-mail was last Wednesday - so is my site working properly?
Not a hope … what a bunch of tossers!

Remember the name Easily.co.uk and avoid them like the plague !

Hey well 25-Feb-2007 I bought a dedicated server just a small 1, costing $80… thought was pretty cheap, was set up within 2 hours! pretty fast id say, support tickets was replied to within 1hr sometimes nearly instantly! I thought it was great, until 2 days ago and now my server, my unusable server… that I’m locked out of has no support… There seemed to be a problem and as I saw lemon-head say about senior tech, they said same to me…  from an email: “Unfortunately, we were not able to make an immediate solution regarding your problem and we will leave your ticket open for other senior technical staff to take a look. Thank you for your patience.”

11 hours later…. i got a reply from DediWebhost: “It seemed like your main IP is blocked by other Internet networks. The easiest solution would be to reallocated your server to a new main IP, your additional IPs will remain the same. Would that be okay for you?”

How can an IP Address Get blocked by certain ISP’s is beyond me but eh, they went ahead after rebooting my server withOUT! Permission while i was installing things… yes, it left them corrupt but remake will fix and hey! I’m locked out.. Cpanel has invalid licence and my sshd config was set to listen to the main IP that has been changed… meaning no ssh! well they emailed me at 2am GMT and at 9am today i replied… at 8:45 PM GMT i still have no reply… surprisingly I will be billed for there problems on the communication to the IP.

Overall the DediWebhost support at the first month was great and it slowly degraded… this I don’t like and hopefully… hopefully my server will be back up tonight….
