Gigenet dedicated server service review - newbie for 3 months

I have been at GigeNet for a while now and I thought I would review their service.
I started using GigeNet a couple of months back moving from a VPS at Myriad Network, Myriad was excellent but I needed a server and wanted something a little closer to my location. During my search I evaluated a number of hosts but decided on GigeNet because of their reputation for excellence. That night I talked to Ameen and decided to place an order. Later that night my server was setup and ready to go.
During the order process I had forgotten to select DirectAdmin so I submitted a ticket asking it to be installed. Five minutes later I had a response saying they would handle my request right away and thirty minutes later DirectAdmin was installed.
GigeNet has been extremely reliable during my time with them and I can’t stress this enough. While I have seen other hosts have network timeouts or down right downtime GigeNet chugs along with such reliability that I’m thinking of getting rid of my monitoring services. The only downtime I can remember was a couple of months back when they had a card fail but since then it has been nothing but smooth serving (hah I made a funny).
Unfortunately I can’t speak much about support, other than the DirectAdmin install I haven’t really needed it. I guess that is a good thing when the service is so reliable that you don’t even need support.
One other thing I did want to highlight was speed, I have had many servers with just okay throughput but with Gigenet you can really push the limits. Servers can really push about 98 mbit/s with no problems.
In conclusion I want to say that I’m really satisfied with GigeNet and if you are looking for a stable provider you should check them out.
